8th March, 2009 (Sunday) is a remarkable day in the History of Environment Care Group.

Venue: Ishwarya Mahal, MMDA Colony, Chennai
Event: Marriage
Date: 08-03-2009, Sunday

Details:
The Team which decided to plant 365 Saplings in one year starting from July 27, 2008; already reached 100 by 7th March, 2009.

We decided to fasten the process and planned different types of activities to reach the target on or before 27th July, 2009. In this connection we associated ourselves with a like minded individual Mrs. Krishnaveni. She supported our movement and accepted to put our Saplings Stall in her Daughter's Marriage.

We explained about our project and plans to the guests of the event and gave away 30 saplings to people who shown interest.

Now the count is 130 Saplings.......

On behalf of our team I request all to spread this word across and help us to reach our "TARGET 365"

குருகுலம் - பிப்ரவரி ஆறாம் தேதி.

"சென்னை சமூக சேவை" - குருகுலம் பள்ளியில மரம் நடும் நிகழ்ச்சியை பிப்ரவரி மாதம் ஆறாம் தேதி நடத்தினர். சுமார் இருபத்தி ஏழு மரக் கன்றுகள் நடப்பட்டு, பராமரிக்கப் பட்டு வருகிறது. மேலும் பத்து மரக் கன்றுகள் பரிசளித்தோம், அதையும் அன் நிறுவனத்தினர் குழந்தை போல் பராமரித்து வருகின்றனர். சில கன்றுகளை படத்திலும் காணலாம்.

"சம்ஸ்" சேவை மூலம் மரகன்றுகள் கொடுக்கும திட்டத்தை கொண்டு வர போகின்றனர். உங்களுக்கு தேவையான மரங்களை "சம்ஸ்" மூலம் பெற வேண்டி கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறோம். மற்றும் நமது இயக்கத்தின் அனைத்து உருபினர்களும் இந்த சேவை பற்றிய தகவலை அணைவருக்கும் கொண்டு செல்ல கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறோம்.

This group is created to bring awareness to the public about the growing environmental issues damaging our earth. It is a program that is planned to bring the people together and fight for one cause—to improve the environment we are living.

Bring your own Bag is a program/activity to create awareness to the public about the growing environmental issues by plastic/poly bag use. It is a program that brings together the retailer, the consumer rallying behind one cause—to improve the environment we live in by supporting an important cause

Proposed Projects:
1) Planting trees in and around Chennai
2) Banning usage of plastics in and around Chennai
3) Implementing Effective Waste Management System
4) Cleaning the Coovum and Adyar River Belt and the Buckingham Canal
5) Voicing against Global Warming
